Karen Gillan has bought a VHS tape player to revisit her childhood.
The 33-year-old actress promised her social media followers she would have "some content gold" to share as a result of her purchase, which means she will be able to delve into home videos from her youth.
She wrote on Instagram: "I've just purchased an old-school VHS player and found all my childhood videos. Get ready for some content gold."
The 'Doctor Who' star also explained a Monopoly game board displayed on the wall in the shot, and revealed it was created by her father Raymond Gillan.
Referring to the singer, she added: "And that’s a monopoly board art piece on the wall, made by my Dad. In case you were wondering. (sic)"
Karen wasted no time in sharing some nostalgic clips with her fans, including a video from a school play.
She quipped: "As you can see from this video, I was always a natural on stage.
"Really made the most of that angel wing moment. (sic)"
The performance took place during her youth in Scotland, and in the past Karen - who has had to relocate for the sake of her career - has revealed what she misses most after spending so much time away from home.
The said: "The thing I miss most about Scotland has to be the chippy sauce.
"But also my family and all the people here and the sense of humour.
"I feel that we have a very specific sense of humour in the face of adversity, which is something I incorporate into the film. I miss it a lot."
Karen - who became a household name after playing Amy Pond in 'Doctor Who' and subsequently broken into Hollywood with major roles in 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle' - has also admitted to being "delusional" about her acting abilities earlier in her career.
She confessed: "I was delusional about my own acting abilities. When I was acting, I was really confident that I was good at it. I had suffered so many rejections, but it's like it has never phased me.
"Then I had an awakening when I realised I wasn't as good as I thought I was - I watched myself in something and thought, 'Oh my God, this is terrible, I need to get back to work on this and figure out how this is done.'"
