Miley Cyrus claims she is too mature to hang out with Justin Bieber.
The 20-year-old is worried that Bieber may find her advice condescending due to her tendency to "mentor" the 19-year-old Justin, but she insists her lengthy career in the entertainment industry makes her much wiser than him and he still has a lot of growing up to do.
Miley said: "[Am I friends with Justin?] A little bit, but not really. I'm not much older than him, so I never want it to feel like I'm mentoring him. But I do mentor him in a way. Because I've been doing this shit for a long time."
Miley has been trying shed her former 'Hannah Montana' image and revealed she fired her management team ahead of making her 'Bangerz' album because she feared they would be disapproving of her new raunchy persona.
In an interview with The Sunday Times newspaper, she explained: "I basically cut off all ties. I got rid of my manager, but I feel like [my recent evolution] would have scared them. I just don't think they would have had as much faith in what I'm doing."
Miley has since hired Britney Spears' manager Larry Rudolph, but insists she won't have any more adults telling her what to do
She said: "I hung out with way to many adults when I was a kid. So now I don't want to hang out with any adults."
