The DJ - real name Jason Mizell - died aged 37 after being gunned down outside his recording studio in Queens in October 2002, and now Karl Jordan Jr, 40, and Ronald Washington, 59, have been convicted of his murder following a trial in Brooklyn.
The late star's family have thanked prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and "all involved" in bringing the pair to justice.
In a statement to Billboard, issued via his son TJ Mizell, Jay's family said: "We extend our deepest gratitude to the prosecutors, law enforcement officials, and all involved in bringing these individuals to justice.
"Their unwavering dedication has ensured a measure of accountability for the tragic loss of Jam Master Jay.
"As we pause to reflect, we are reminded of the profound impact and influence Jay had on countless lives. His legacy endures through his music, his spirit, and the cherished memories we hold dear."
Jay's family also thanked his supporters, adding: "Your love, kindness, and steadfast support have been a source of strength during our darkest moments.
"We ask that you continue to honour Jay's memory through his music and the positive impact he made on the world. While the pain of our loss will always remain, we find solace in the knowledge that justice has been served."
What's more, Jay's family admitted their faith in God was able to "help provide closure" for them "long ago".
They said: "Our family believes in God's plan and that faith is what helped provide closure for us long ago.
"We thank all that continue to support Jay's legacy by honouring his life's achievements."
Jurors at the U.S. District Court’s Eastern Division of New York found Washington and Jordan Jr - who had pleaded not guilty to the charges - both guilty of one count of murder while engaged in narcotics trafficking and one count of firearm-related murder.
Both men were known to the influential DJ. Jordan was his godson and Washington had been his friend since childhood.
The pair face 20 years to life in prison, but a date for their sentencing has yet to be set.
A third man - Jay Bryant - is facing a separate trial in relation to the killing of Jam Master Jay. He's pleaded not guilty and is expected to appear in court in 2026.
