Judi Dench has revealed that she wasn't prepared to find love again after the death of her husband.
Dench is currently dating David Mills, who she says 'stalked' her before they started dating. This new relationship came as a bit of a surprise to the Oscar winning actress, who thought she would never find herself in another relationship.
Dench was married to Michael Williams for thirty years, until he died from lung cancer back in 2001.The couple has one child together during that time.
Speaking to Times magazine, the actress said: "I wasn't even prepared to be ready for it ... It was very gradual and grown up. We got together, in a way, through the animals. It's just wonderful."
And while Dench is having a great time with her new man, she admits that the couple are not currently living together due to their hectic work schedules.
"We are much too independent. And he is very busy. He has a business to run.
"But he is so lovely, with a great sense of humour. Now it's absolutely wonderful because there's somebody who makes me laugh. Isn't it lovely?"
We are going to be seeing Dench on the big and small screen next year as she reprises the role of Evelyn Greenslade in The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel.
The movie sees John Madden back in the director's chair, while Bill Nighy, Maggie Smith, Penelope Wilton, Celia Imrie, and Dev Patel will all be returning for the sequel. This new film comes four years after the success of the first.
Dench has also completed work on Tulip Fever and new episodes of TV mini series The Hollow Crown, which will air next year.
