Jon Hamm will "find happiness" again following his split from Jennifer Westfeldt, according to 'Mad Men' creator Matthew Weiner.
The TV producer - who worked with Jon on seven seasons of the hit drama - believes both the actor and his former partner will be just fine as they move on from their 18-year relationship.
He told PEOPLE.com: "It's a personal thing for him, and he's a public person, I guess, so it's an issue.
"All I can say is I wish him the best. I wish them both the best. They're both incredibly talented, wonderful people. They'll both find happiness, there's no doubt in my mind."
Jon, 44, and Jennifer, 45, announced their separation earlier this week - just months after the hunk publicly thanked the actress-and-director for helping him overcome alcohol abuse.
In a statement, they said: "With great sadness, we have decided to separate, after 18 years of love and shared history. We will continue to be supportive of each other in every way possible moving forward."
Jon completed a 30-day stint in rehab earlier this year after battling alcohol abuse.
The actor's representative said at the time: "With the support of his longtime partner Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm recently completed treatment for his struggle with alcohol addiction. They have asked for privacy and sensitivity going forward."
