Johnny Depp's house was broken into over the weekend.
The 'Pirates of the Caribbean' actor's Hollywood Hills home was targeted by a woman, who is possibly homeless, but her attempts to enter the abode were thwarted when she triggered the building's security system and police were called.
However, sources told TMZ the woman may have panicked when the alarm went off because she fled the scene before cops arrived.
However, officers found her nearby and were also able to connect her to another recent burglary in the area.
It is unclear if the woman took anything from the house and the investigation is ongoing.
The 57-year-old star wasn't at home at the time of the burglary.
Meanwhile, Johnny recently quit his role as Gellart Grindelwald in the 'Fantastic Beasts' franchise at the request of Warner Bros., following the loss of his libel case against The Sun newspaper.
He said in a statement at the time: "I wish to let you know that I have been asked to resign by Warner Bros from my role as Grindelwald in 'Fantastic Beasts' and I have respected and agreed to that request.”
The 'Rum Diary' star had taken action against the British publication after they branded him a wife beater who had assaulted then-spouse Amber Heard, but a judge ruled in favour of The Sun when Johnny’s defamation accusation was thrown out.
At the time, Johnny’s legal team vowed to appeal the decision, but an appeal was denied by a judge, who claimed the case doesn’t have “a reasonable prospect of success”.
They have now taken the claim directly to the Court of Appeal, where they argued he "did not get a fair trial".
The actor has been replaced in the wizarding saga by Mads Mikkelsen.
