John Mayer gave a speech at Oxford University yesterday (25.10.13).
The 36-year-old rocker spent an hour and a half at the higher education establishment in Oxfordshire, England, where he spoke about his life and career, as well as passing on little bits of advice he's picked up over the years, to pupils attending the Student Union meeting.
Students took to Twitter to express their excitement over the visit, with some saying it was the best part about studying at the top university.
Rebecca Miles said: "Studying at Oxford just became worth it after seeing @JohnMAyer at the Union today! #amazing."
While Tom Board added: "Great to see @JohnMayer in Oxford - excited to hear the next album! (sic)."
John also took to the social networking site afterwards to thank the university for having him as a guest speaker.
He wrote: "Thank you to the Oxford Student Union for this afternoon. It was a great event."
