John Boyega's BAFTA trophy will be propped on the dashboard of the Millennium Falcon now he's back working on 'Star Wars: Episode VIII' today (15.02.16).
The 23-year-old actor scooped the EE Rising Star prize at the prestigious ceremony - the only accolade voted for by the public - for his portrayal of rogue Stormtrooper Finn in the sci-fi franchise.
And speaking backstage at the awards at The Royal Opera House in London on Sunday night (14.02.16) Boyega admitted he is going to take his statuette into work and place it at the helm of the legendary spaceship.
Speaking about how it felt to win the prize, he said: "I feel really, really honoured. It's nuts.
"Guys, let me be honest with you. I'm running on fumes here. I start work at 6am. I have a 6am pick up. I'm supposed to be in the car and then straight to, you know, doing the whole Star Wars thing again. So tomorrow is my first day. On set ... All I'm saying is this (lifts trophy) is going to look great on the Millennium Falcon!"
Boyega will be reunited with his co-stars Mark Hamill - who plays Luke Skywalker - Daisy Ridley who is returning as Rey, Gwendoline Christie who returns as Captain Phasma and Adam Driver, who will be donning his black mask and hood again as villain Kylo Ren.
And the young star joked he is going to become boastful about his acting abilities to his cast mates now he's a BAFTA winner.
He said: "I am taking the award into work. I'm going to get into arguments tomorrow just because I have this."
Boyega was joined at the ceremony by stars of the British film industry and Hollywood, including Eddie Redmayne, Alicia Vikander, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore, Sacha Baron Cohen and Leonardo DiCaprio.
'Star Wars: Episode VIII: The Force Awakens' is scheduled for release on May 26, 2017.
