The 'Birds of a Feather' actress has known the former 'EastEnders' star "for most of his life" but, although they're close, she has admitted nothing could prepare her for when she found him getting jiggy with a girl in her bathroom when she invited his family over for a garden party.

She explained: "He's a really lovely boy. I've known Joe all of his life. In fact I think it was at my house he first lost his you know what. Not with me. I'm friends with his mum and we were having a party and he was in the toilet for ages and we were shouting at the door, 'Come out of there now' and when they came out, there were about 10 of us waiting."

The 34-year-old hunk - who has eight-year-old son Harry with his ex-fiancée Emma Sophocleous - is now dating Stacey Solomon but he had to work hard to win her over.

The blonde beauty said while appearing on 'Loose Women' today (18.02.16): "He was pretty brave, he got in there. I'm an ice queen so I was kind of like, 'No Way!' and he kept on going. He really is just a really lovely person. I'm so glad I met him and I'm getting to know him. I feel lucky."

The couple have only been dating a few months but the former 'X Factor' star - who has sons Zachary, eight, and Leighton, four, from two previous relationships - wishes they'd struck up a romance sooner than they did.

She explained: "We've known each other for ages... I don't know how it really happened. We were doing a show together and we really got on and then I went out to do the 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here!' after-show in Australia [late last year] and I really like him."
