J.B. Gill and his wife Chloe Gill are expecting their first child.

The former JLS star announced the happy news on his Twitter profile today (31.05.14) and can't wait to become a dad.

The 27-year-old singer tweeted: "Mrs @ChloeSGill is soon to become Mummy Gill!!!!!!!!!!!!hehehe #jbnews #babygill #excited #cantwaittobeadaddy (sic)"

Chloe also wrote: "Sooo excited to announce that @JBGill and I are expecting our first child! I know J's going to be the most amazing Dad! #BabyGill xx (sic)"

The couple, who tied the knot in a romantic ceremony on the Isle of Bute in Scotland in April 2013 after five years of dating, were instantly inundated with messages of congratulations from their friends, including his former bandmate Marvin Humes and his wife Rochelle Humes.

The Saturdays singer, 25, who has a 12-month-old daughter Alaia-May, tweeted: "You don't understand how excited Auntie Roch is...I nearly burst with excitement! Love you guys too much (sic)"

Shortly after getting married J.B. revealed he definitely wanted to have children in the future, but insisted he was in no rush.

He said: "We love kids and we're looking forward to being parents. It's something we've talked about, obviously, but there are no film plans."
