Jessie J is going to have surgery on her injured ankle.
The 'Price Tag' hitmaker is set to have a metal plate removed from her left foot in December, as she is in agony from an injury she sustained two years ago when she fell off the stage while rehearsing for a performance at London's Wembley Stadium.
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "I'm getting some time off at Christmas and I'm having surgery to have the plate removed.
"It is flicking against my bone and is causing a lot of pain.
"I hurt my ankle about two years ago and it's still causing me a lot of discomfort.
"The foot is still bruised and swells up because it won't heal, so I'm having the metal taken out."
Jessie previously had to have a bone transplant as part of reconstructive surgery to heal her left ankle - who she broke in 2011 - and was forced to wear a cast for two months while she recovered.
The pop star was keen to get back to normal quickly and defied doctor's orders, wearing stilettos before the injury was fully healed. For the upcoming operation she is planning to give herself a break over Christmas, and allow herself time to fully recover.
Talking about the side-effects of the metal plate, Jessie, 25: "It sets off the security systems at airports and when I sit down it goes cold like a cow.
"I'm hoping it will be sorted at Christmas then it will be done and dusted and I can have some down time."
