Jessica Simpson has been "every size on the planet."

The Weight Watchers spokesperson says she has "never been happier" after losing 60 lbs. following the birth of her second child, Ace, last June, but believes her fluctuating weight has helped make her clothing line a huge success.

Speaking at the Forbes Women's Summit in New York City, the 33-year-old star said: "I think my brand has surpassed my name and my celebrity.

"I think I understand women. I've been every size on the planet, and I think beyond New York and LA."

Jessica has no regrets about gaining weight but was upset about comments from her critics, according to WWD magazine.

She said: "I look at brushing that stuff off. That's not to say it didn't make me cry. I try not to look at it and listen to it.

She added: "I fluctuate, I'm a woman. I feel like we all need to enjoy life. If I'm five pounds heavier or 50 pounds heavier or five pounds lighter, I don't think that should define who you are."

The blonde beauty, who is set to marry her fiancé, Eric Johnson, in Santa Barbara, California in July, with whom she also has two-year-old daughter Maxwell, admits her weight loss journey has taught her a lot.

She said: "Tune out the world and tune into you.

"I don't let others define me for me."
