Jessica Simpson insists she will get married "within the year."
The 33-year-old star, who recently revealed she has yet to set a date for her upcoming wedding, can't understand why people doubt that she will ever walk down the aisle with her fiancé Eric Johnson, even though she has postponed their nuptials twice since getting engaged in November 2010.
The blonde beauty told 'Live with Kelly and Michael' in New York City today (08.01.14): "People ask me every day if I'm getting married. I'm like, 'I'm engaged, of course I'm getting married!' "
The fashion mogul, who has a 20-month-old daughter, Maxwell, and six-month-old son, Ace, with Eric, also believes Eric is the perfect man for her because they have already been through a lot together.
She explained: "He's put up with me and all my hormones for [the] two and a half years [that I've been pregnant]. He has seen me at my absolute worst but he hasn't gone far away."
She added: "Eric is like a big-hearted big guy. He's the best father. Maxwell is a daddy's girl so she is obsessed with him. She definitely has him wrapped around her finger."
Jessica previously claimed she already feels married.
She said: "We don't have an actual [wedding] date, but we do know that we want it to be this year. We need to get married!
"I already feel like we're an old married couple already. Like, if he wanted to run, he could've run when I was hormonal and pregnant."
