Jessica Chastain celebrated her 40th birthday in Mexico.

The American actress hit the milestone on March 24 and to mark the occasion she jetted off to the luxury resort the One & Only Palmilla in San Jose Del Cabo with her fiancé Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo.
And, according to New York Post's Page Six column, the flame-haired star and her partner were also accompanied by some of her friends to enjoy the warm retreat.
The 'The Huntsman: Winter's War' star has avoided posting anything on social media, including any pictures of her enjoying a feast at the Agua by Larbi restaurant or basking in the sun's rays, during her vacation.
And the Hollywood icon wouldn't mind "disappearing" into the lives of the characters she plays in order to keep her personal life private.
She previously shared: "I want people to be more interested in my work than my personal life. I want to disappear into the characters I'm playing and not have the audience say, 'Oh, she's going through a divorce right now.'"
Meanwhile, the California-born star has recently insisted she "won't be acting" in a few years and has plans to change her career path for "something else", although she has not specified what area she will venture in to.
Talking previously about her future plans, she said: "Maybe at some point I won't be acting. Maybe I'll be producing or directing or teaching at Juilliard. I feel like something's happening. I feel like a change will soon happen in my life. Maybe I won't act for a few years. I'm happy, I'm content, but I could do something else for a bit."
