Academy CEO Bill Kramer and Academy President Janet Yang said in a joint statement: "We are thrilled to welcome this year’s class of new members to the Academy.
“These remarkably talented artists and professionals from around the world have made a significant impact on our filmmaking community.”
Those who have been invited are deemed to "have distinguished themselves by their contributions to motion pictures".
The organisation notes that "across all initiatives, the Academy connects global audiences – its members, the film industry and film fans – through their shared passion for making and watching films".
As well as actors, other categories represented include casting directors, cinematographers, costume designers, directors, documentary, executives and film editors.
