Jerry O'Connell claims he has been avoiding Tom Cruise for seven years.
The 41-year-old actor, who famously mocked the 'Mission Impossible' star and his devotion to Scientology during a controversial three-minute 'Funny or Die' video in 2008, still he has no desire to come face-to-face with him and has even "hid" from him at an event in the past.
He said: "I have not run into him. I saw him at one event and I hid. I had to be at the event -- I hid for as long as I could and when it was time to disperse, I literally was the first at valet."
While he still "sort of avoids" Tom, the 'Stand By Me' star doesn't think they'd ever have a public showdown about the video.
He told the 'Allegedly with Theo Von & Matthew Cole Weiss' podcast: "It was rude and I know I'm going to be followed [by Scientologists] - I watched that documentary ['Going Clear']. I'm kidding, but Scientology is a weird place."
Jerry also claims he and his actor brother, Charlie O'Connell, almost joined the controversial religion after being invited to attend a party at its Celebrity Centre in Los Angeles almost 20 years ago when they were drunk.
He added: "My brother and I were stumbling down Franklin [Avenue] at 3:30 in the morning going, 'Oh my gosh. That's how they get you'. I don't know if it's a recruiting tactic or they were just partying."
