Jennifer Love Hewitt is defying all logic with this statement, but she thinks that the key to her labour going smoothly was feeding her husband snacks.
We think the labour part should be more about the woman though, don't you?
The actress gave birth to daughter Autumn 10 months ago and says spouse Brian Hallisay was "great" in the delivery room - because she ensured he was well fed and content throughout the long process.
She said: "This is the thing, too, if you are in labour, feed your husband and they are wonderful. He can't be hungry - you need them!
"If he passed out or something bad happened out of being hangry, then I don't get what I need, which is my rock. I had pudding for him and snack bars ... it was great!"
The 35-year-old star says her husband was so "solid" during her labour, he should consider a new career helping women deliver their babies.
She told talk show host Jimmy Kimmel: "He should be a male doula. I was really worried that I was going to get that face -- 'Mmm, what's happening here?' -- and I'm not good at the faces so I would've been like, 'What does that mean? What does that mean!' But he was just like, 'This is great. I am so proud of you right now. This is awesome, you look beautiful.'
"I was really proud of him. He's that guy anyway, so he's impressive in that way, but he was great."
Autumn has already taken her first steps and her famous mother is nursing many bruises as a result - because she can't get to grips with the temporary gates installed around their home to keep the youngster contained.
She explained: "I have bruises everywhere from falling over [the gates].
"You're holding the baby and you have to lift up and then swing it ... it's impossible!"
In a different interview, she spoke about Autumn and her being a fan of Zumba.
The 35-year-old actress takes her baby girl Autumn most places with her and the tot joins in when she participates in the dance-based exercise.
Autumn is a big music fan and is already showing a preference for songs by Drake and Pharrell Williams but her favourite song is smash hit collaboration 'Bang Bang' by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
During an appearance on 'The Talk' on Wednesday (01.10.14), Jennifer said: "She likes Drake. She likes salsa, she does Zumba classes with me, I hold her and she gets really into it. She loved Pharrell's 'Happy' for a while but now it's all about 'Bang Bang', when she hears that song she gets so excited. She's got good taste."
The 'Criminal Minds' star also revealed she and her husband Brian Hallisay found it really difficult to pick a name for their daughter, and despite what family and friends thought they didn't pick the seasonal moniker because she was born in November.
Jennifer said: "We both just really loved it, she happened to come early and was born in autumn and everyone was like, 'Oh that's so cute.' I was like, 'No, that's really not why we named her autumn we just really liked the name' but I was really surprised by pregnancy I thought it was going to be everything else that was really hard about pregnancy but then there was this moment where we were both sat there and we were like, 'Oh my god we have to name a human!' It's like for her whole life, unless she goes down and is like, 'No I want to be called Princess Consuela Banana Hammock,' or whatever she's going to change her name to. But we were like, 'She's going to be stuck with this name.' It's a lot of pressure but it was great and we just loved it."
