Jennifer Lopez went on tour to take her mind off her divorce.
The 46-year-old singer decided to embark on her 'Dance Again' world tour in 2012 and turn it into a documentary because it gave her something else to focus on while she was going through her split with Marc Anthony, 47.
Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain' this morning (13.10.15), she said: "It was a hard time. To decide to go on tour came from the fact that I was in a lot of pain at the time. I just needed something else to focus on."
The former couple, who got married in 2004 and divorced 10 years later, have seven-year-old twins Max and Emme together, and Jennifer believes the break-up was made even worse by the fact there were little ones involved.
She explained: "I think going through a divorce with kids is one of the hardest things ever... really difficult.
"The loss of that dream, so to find a new dream, to pick yourself up and dance again really became the message."
Meanwhile, Jennifer - who is also known by her stage name J-Lo - may have a string of records under her belt but she has revealed she's "very insecure" about her vocals.
She said: "I'm very insecure about my voice. After being told for so many years that you're not as good as this person or that person, it beats away on your insecurities.
"I always wanted to be a singer and a dancer but when they start dissecting you like that, it does work away at your insecurities. You know? I'm like 'Wow, I thought I was good at this'. It does get to you. I'm only human."
