Jennifer Lopez insists she prefers a committed romance rather than one based solely on sex with no strings attached.

The 'On The Floor' hitmaker - who has divorced three times - prefers to be in a committed relationship, rather than embark on casual sex with no strings attached.

Speaking on chat show 'Chelsea Lately' last night (21.08.14), she said: "I like being in a relationship. I'm not one to like wh**e around and stuff like that - that's not my thing."

The 45-year-old singer - who split from her toyboy boyfriend Casper Smart, 27, in June following two-and-a-half years of dating - admits she doesn't tend to romance people based on their age because all that matters is she can "connect" with them.

She explained: "I've dated one younger guy. I've dated older guys. They're mostly my age but then I dated one younger guy. I just go with the connection with the person. I don't really plan things out, they just happen. Maybe I should plan better. It's not easy [meeting people] but it's gonna happen, I dunno."

The brunette beauty - who has six-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, 45 - hasn't given up on love despite her failed relationships and insists she'd love to walk down the aisle again.

She said earlier this year: "I have been married before, I have tried to be married before. It's not the easiest thing in the world, but at the same time I do believe in it. I believe in the institution, I believe in committing to someone and spending the rest of your life with them."
