Jennifer Hudson claimed she was "living in fear" of David Otunga.
The 'Dreamgirls' star recently split from her wrestler fiance - the father of her eight-year-old son David Jr. - and obtained a protective order against him, and in her court documents she accused the WWE commentator of exhibiting "aggressive, threatening and harassing behaviour" towards her.
She added: "I am now living in fear of further action David might take."
In documents obtained by TMZ, Jennifer claimed she was at a recording session in Chicago with her son and when David couldn't get in touch with her after making a series of phone calls, he asked David Jr. to record the scene, with the 36-year-old star claiming her fiance wanted evidence she's dating one of the producers, something she denies.
The 'Voice' coach claimed David was "visibly angry" when she got home and alleged he grabbed their son by the hand before physically pushing her out of their bedroom.
Jennifer stated as well as David Jr., the alleged altercation was also witnessed by a make-up artist and an assistant.
The 'Spotlight' singer claimed the incident was the most recent in a pattern of threatening behaviour and she is particularly concerned because David is 6'3" and weighs 240lbs.
In the documents, Jennifer - whose mother Darnell Donaldson, brother Jason and seven-year-old nephew Julian King were murdered by her sister's estranged husband William Balfour in 2008 - stated David left a gun and holster on their kitchen counter, which he claimed was a movie prop but she believed was a gesture to intimidate her.
She said: "David knows that I am and have been very sensitive to firearms after my mother and my brother were murdered by a firearm.
"I believe that he left it out to taunt, intimidate and frighten me, which he absolutely accomplished."
The former couple are said to have split up several months ago and each are seeking primary physical custody of their son.
However, the protection order gives Jennifer exclusive possession of their home and orders David to stay away from her and David Jr..
The singer has asked in her custody petition to be given "significant decision-making responsibilities" and claim she has been "solely responsible for making all major decisions" for their son, but sources told TMZ that David believes the opposite.
The 37-year-old sportsman was not in court when Jennifer received the order, but he's issued a statement insisting her claims are not true and she's trying to gain an "unfair advantage" in their custody dispute.
