Jennifer Hudson has joined the cast of Adam Sandler's 'Sandy Wexler'.
The 34-year-old star will play talented singer Courtney Clarke in the Netflix movie, which will see Adam appear as the titular Los Angeles talent agent character, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The 90s-set film will tell the story of Sandy's management of a group of eccentric clients who dream of making it big in show business.
But his devotion will be tested when he falls for Courtney.
Steven Brill will team up with Adam, 49, once again to direct the film after helming one of his other Netflix movies, 'The Do-Over'.
Paul Sado, Dan Bulla and Adam have penned the script, and the Hollywood star is producing the film with Allen Covert.
Barry Bernardi and Tim Herlihy will executive produce the project, which will start shooting in Los Angeles on August 2 and premiere on Netflix in 2017.
Adam has a four-film deal with the streaming giant and as well as 'The Do-Over', he has also released 'The Ridiculous 6', which was the most-watched movie on the platform in its first 30 days of availability.
While Jennifer started out as a singer on the third season of 'American Idol', she went on to win an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her portrayal of singer Effie White in 2006's 'Dreamgirls'.
