Jennie Garth finds dating like a "weird type of torture" since her divorce from 'Twilight Saga' star Peter Facinelli in June after 11 years of marriage.
The actress admits she's struggled to find romance again since she divorced 'Twilight Saga' star Peter Facinelli - who she shares daughters Luca, 15, Lola, 10, and Fiona, six, with - in June after 11 years of marriage.
Speaking in an interview with Bethenny Frankel, she said: "It's like a weird type of torture, but it can be fun. For me, I look for somebody who shares an energy ... there's just that connection, that energy that I need to have. It doesn't matter what the person looks like or what they really do. There's got to be that, first and foremost, you know? That zing."
The blonde beauty - who sold the property she shared with Peter in Los Angeles in August - initially thought she'd be good at dating, but has now realised it's a rocky road and she's still learning.
She explained: "I expected to come out of it [the divorce] and just be great at it [dating]. I'm smart and I thought I could do it. How hard could it be? I've realised I have to fumble my way and create the space to really be open to learning because I don't know how to do it."
