Cheryl Fernandez-Versini argued with Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini because he "didn't lift a finger" during their marriage.
The 32-year-old singer reportedly filed for divorce from her spouse citing "irreconcilable differences" in August after a year and a half of marriage and it has been revealed that 'The X Factor' judge was pushed to "breaking point" because of his "laziness."
A source told the Daily Star newspaper: "We never really knew what he did apart from 'supporting' Cheryl."
And a friend of the French restaurateur, Franky Twister, added:
"As far as I know, he hasn't lifted a finger or done any work of any kind since he met his wife. His family home is in the countryside, in Aixen-Provence. His family are not super rich but they have some money. I wouldn't say they're multi-millionaires like Cheryl."
Meanwhile, another friend exposed Cheryl's second husband's "partying" ways during their time as a pair of bachelors in Cannes and said hard work was never at the top of his "priorities".
The pal said: "When I knew him, Jean-Bernard never wanted to have to work hard all day every day like his parents, who ran a restaurant, did. His priorities are having fun and partying."
And Jean-Bernard's former personal trainer corroborated claims that prior to his marriage, the Frenchman was a "wild animal" that couldn't be tamed.
Curtis Jones added: "He's a good guy but you can't tame every wild animal. We were out every night, standing on couches, popping bottles. Girls flocked to us. We had fun."
The couple married in a secret ceremony in Mustique in July 2014 after three months of dating.
