Jason David Frank's daughter has shared her heartbreak as she marked his 50th birthday without him.
The 'Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers' actor took his own life in November 2022 at the age of 49 and his grieving daughter Jenna Frank marked what would have been his milestone birthday on Monday (04.09.23) by sharing a candid tribute to her late dad - admitting she has struggled with similar mental health troubles and vowing to "break the curse".
Alongside a series of pictures of her dad, she wrote in a post on Instagram: "I can’t put my pain into words. I still can’t believe you’re gone. I was with you on your birthday last year. I picked you up at the airport you were so happy to see me. You are my book to life. You taught me everything I know. You are more than just my dad. You are my very best friend, my partner in crime my brother. You are everything in one."
Jenna added: "We struggled with the same mental problems . You always understood me when nobody else did. I WILL win this battle for you. I will break the curse. I promise Happy 50th b-day pops! You always would tell me I’m your biggest angel. Now you’re mine."
Jason is survived by his wife Tammie Frank and their kids Jenna and Jacob as well as his kids Skye and Hunter with ex-wife Shawna.
After the tragedy, Tammie - who was married to Jason from 2003 until his passing - gave a heart-wrenching interview to PEOPLE in which she discussed her husband's battle with mental health problems and admitted she had no idea he was contemplating suicide.
She said: "I loved my husband, and we were trying to work through our problems. His death comes as much a shock to me as anyone else. "The truth is, I had no idea that Jason was thinking of ending things. Yes, he had struggled with mental health issues and depression before, but I could never predict what would happen that night."
She added: "All we want is to remember Jason and our happiest memories, and move on from the pain of losing a loved one. I only ask for sympathy and understanding during this difficult time."
