The world-famous chef has enjoyed incredible career success, becoming one of the most well-known faces on British TV, but Jamie still regrets his jam-packed work schedule prevented him from cooking for the Cuban dictator, who passed away in November 2016.

Jamie shared: "One of the biggest regrets in my culinary life was that I was asked to cook for the Cuban premier Fidel Castro, but my diary wouldn't allow it."

Castro led the Cuban revolution in the 1950s and was one of the most divisive figures of the 20th century.

Jamie admitted that while he didn't necessarily support Castro's political ideas, he would have jumped at the chance to make a special dish for him.

He explained, according to the Daily Star newspaper: "Not that I'm in favour of communism, but he was an interesting guy."

Meanwhile, Jamie revealed earlier this month that he once burned his penis while cooking naked.

The 42-year-old celebrity chef has been with his wife Jools since he was 17, but one attempt at a romantic night in did not go well when Jamie suffered a painful injury.

He said: "I did it once. I don't think it's a great thing to do. I don't advise it.

"That was the one time I cooked naked! It's amazing how powerful convection oven steam can be. It felt like a good idea at the time."

Jamie and Jools are parents to Poppy, 15, Daisy, 14, Petal, eight, Buddy, six, and Rocket, 12 months.

And the chef admitted he is finding it hard to cope with his older daughters being "very interested" in boys.

However, he insisted there are "no boyfriends" and he hopes there won't be for some time.

Jamie shared: "It's weird. You have a little girl until about 12 and then different league."
