Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie is out of hospital following her tragic ATV accident.

The eight-year-old daughter of the former 'Zoey 101' star - whom she shares with her former partner Casey Aldridge -was airlifted to hospital earlier this week after an off-road vehicle she was riding flipped over on Sunday (05.02.17), leaving Maddie unconscious and underwater for several minutes.
Taking to Instagram on Friday (10.02.17), the 25-year-old actress shared a picture of a Children's Hospital of New Orleans helicopter, saying the family was "headed home", where they will continue Maddie's recovery.
She captioned the photo: "Thanks to the amazing first responders, and medical teams at University and Children's Hospital in New Orleans, LA, we are headed home with our baby girl as she continues to recover. Above all else we are so thankful for each and every prayer, because we know that is what truly made the difference. Thank you again to everyone. We are truly blessed (sic)"
The news comes after it was recently reported that Maddie was "awake and talking" earlier in the week.
A statement from the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Department released by a representative for Spears' family said: "With her father, mother and stepfather by her side, Maddie regained consciousness mid-day Tuesday, February 7. The eight-year-old daughter of entertainer Jamie Lynn Spears was involved in an ATV accident at a family home Sunday in Kentwood, LA. Paramedics resuscitated her and she was airlifted to a local hospital. She is aware of her surroundings and recognises those family members who have kept a round-the-clock vigil since the accident.
"Doctors were able to remove the ventilator today and she is awake and talking. Maddie continues to receive oxygen and is being monitored closely but it appears that she has not suffered any neurological consequences from the accident."
Since the tragic news of the accident broke, popstar Britney Spears - who is the older sister of Jamie Lynn - has asked fans to send their "wishes and prayers" to her niece.
She wrote: "Need all the wishes and prayers for my niece."
