Jamie Foxx's daughter Corinne Foxx has been crowned Miss Golden Globe 2016.
The 20-year-old model was "bouncing off the walls in excitement" when she learned the Hollywood Foreign Press Association had chosen her to play a key role in the upcoming 73rd Golden Globe Awards.
She said: "I've known for about three weeks. Maybe like a month and I was so excited.
"I had all of this energy and I'm not lying, for an hour straight, just jumped around my house and was bouncing off the walls, and was Googling all of this stuff about Miss Golden Globes so I was really excited."
And Corinne said her Golden Globe-winning father had a tear in his eye when she told him.
She told PEOPLE magazine: "My dad, he's a little bit emotional. He won't admit it, but he had tears in his eyes and he was so happy for me to kind of have my own thing now."
Corinne feels particularly "honoured" to be a part of a ceremony which has previously seen her father win Best Actor for 'Ray' in 2005, as well as scoop two nominations in 2004.
She added: "Throughout the years I've grown up watching my dad establish himself as a well-respected actor.
"I'm honoured that HFPA has given me the opportunity to now share the same stage where he's been recognised for some of his greatest accomplishments."
The Mr or Miss Golden Globe title is given to the offspring of celebrities and enables them to network in their own right.
During the awards ceremony, they will help hand out the evening's prizes.
Previous holders of the title have included Dakota Johnson, Rumer Willis, Sosie Bacon and Greer Grammar.
The 73rd Golden Globe Awards - which will be hosted by Ricky Gervais for the fourth time - will honour the best in US TV and film and take place on January 10 2016.
