James Corden was a notable absentee from the Golden Globes on Sunday (07.01.18).
The British TV star is among the most recognisable faces in the US, having succeeded Craig Ferguson on 'The Late Late Show' in 2015, but James opted to skip the ceremony in Beverly Hills after he and his wife Julia recently welcomed their third child.
James, 39, was instead seen out with his wife - who gave birth to a daughter three weeks ago - at the Santa Monica eatery Georgio Baldi.
The actor and TV star previously revealed he'd suggested calling his new daughter Beyonce - but that his wife was unimpressed with the idea.
He shared: "The doctor asked about her name and I don't know why I said it and I looked at the doctor and said, 'We're going to call her Beyonce.' My wife did not think that was funny."
But James - who has been married to Julia since 2012 - claimed that a nurse actually believed they were going to name the newest member of their family after the chart-topping star.
He shared: "I had to go over to her and go, 'Excuse me, there's only one Beyonce.'"
The actor also has six-year-old son Max and three-year-old daughter Carey with his wife - but he was overcome with emotion by the arrival of their new baby.
He revealed: "After the baby was born, anyone who's been in this situation will know, we were both crying, I was crying my eyes out, my wife's crying her eyes out, the baby's crying."
