Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly dating Rachel McAdams.

The 'Brokeback Mountain' actor and the 35 year old actress have been spotted out together on a number of occasions over the last week, fuelling speculation of a romance.

The pair dined at Lugo Caffe in New York on Saturday before heading to Madison Square Garden for the boxing match between Miguel Cotto and Sergio Martinez.

A source at the eatery told the New York Post's Page Six column: "They arrived together and sat next to each other. They were in deep conversation."

"[They stayed for an hour] and looked happy and very friendly."

Earlier in the week, Jake, 33, was joined by Rachel for dinner in Pittsburgh, where they are shooting boxing movie 'Southpaw' with Lupita Nyong'o and Forest Whitaker.

However, despite rumours of a romance, other friends insist the pair are just "friendly co-stars" researching their new film together.

Jake - who previously dated Kirsten Dunst, Reese Witherspoon and Taylor Swift - has been single since splitting from model Alyssa Miller last December, while Rachel was most recently romantically linked with Canadian music manager Patrick Sambrook, who she began dating a few months after her relationship with 'Midnight in Paris' co-star Michael Sheen came to an end.
