Jake Gyllenhaal "has a lot of time" for Rita Ora.
The 34-year-old actor - who stars with the 'How We Do' hitmaker in the upcoming drama 'Southpaw' - gushed over the talented singer turned actress and insists the blonde beauty had no problems remembering her lines after it was rumoured she had had to be fed her words via ear pieces for her two line cameo in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' last year.
Speaking at a preview of the film in Cannes, France, Jake said: "[There were] no problems at all. She was great. People will see she brought a lot. I have a lot of time for her."
The film is being distributed by The Weinstein Company, and it's chairman, film producer Harvey Weinstein was equally impressed by the blonde beauty's ability to take on the gritty film, in which she plays a prostitute in danger of being murdered.
He told The Sun newspaper: "She was prepared. She had no vanity, no problem looking as bad as she does in the film. People will see a different, dramatic side to her.I would work with her again."
Rita, 24, added she is hoping to land even bigger movie roles in the future.
She said: "The whole movie aspect for me is something I love but it's something I don't mind growing in to."
She has also spoken about working alongside Jake and credited him with making it "very easy" for the pair to star alongside each other.
The star says the 'Brokeback Mountain' star - who plays pugilist Billy Hope - was very helpful on set and gave her lots of advice which she took on board as she starts off her acting career.
She said: "It was an incredible experience! Jake made it very easy for me. The role that I play, is indeed very far away from my real life. But this role made me see a few things differently now."
