The 31-year-old actress, who got engaged to the 'Twilight Saga' star in March after more than two years of dating, insists they are in no rush to exchange vows.
The 'Blindspot' star said: "We're just having fun, and we just take life in stride, and we're having fun being engaged and just enjoying life."
But the brunette beauty can't wait to tie the knot once she and the 'American Odyssey' star, 41, have a gap in their schedules.
The 'Thor' star told PEOPLE.com: "We're both very busy people, and we want to make sure that when we get married, we actually have the right amount of time to spend with family and friends because it's gonna be such a fun celebration."
Peter has three daughters Luca, 17, Lola, 12, and Fiona, eight, with ex-wife Jennie Garth, whom he split from in 2012.
The former 'Beverly Hills 90210' recently revealed she is planning to tie the knot with fiancé David Abrams "soon" after getting engaged last month.
Asked if her children would be involved, she added: "They are definitely a part of everything. They are going be my wedding party. It's going to be special and sweet."
