Jaden Smith says he wore his Batman suit to Kim and Kanye West's wedding because he felt he "needed to protect everyone there".

The 16-year-old son of actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith - who classes "Kanye West", "Batman" and "Superman" as his style icons - felt the fancy dress garment was the "proper gear" to safeguard the guests at the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' star and 'All Day' rapper's wedding and that's why he wore it.

The 'Karate Kid' star - who is listed as one of British GQ magazine's 20 Most Stylish Men Alive - explained: "I wore the Batman suit to heighten my experience at the wedding and prom which was fun, but also at the wedding I felt as though I needed to protect everyone there and needed to have the proper gear to do so."

Asked who he gets his inspiration from, he added: "My style icons are Batman, Robin, Nightwing, Superman and Kanye West."

At one of the most famous weddings of all time, which took place back in May (24.05.14) Kim's mother, Kris Jenner was full of praise of his unusual wedding attire and said it was "beautiful" and he "looked so good".

She previously said: "He had this Batman costume on and I thought it was just genius. When you look at it ... it sounds just crazy, [but] it was beautiful. He looked so good."
