Iggy Azalea thinks some people want her to be "deported" from America.
The 27-year-old rap star - who was born in Sydney, Australia - recently celebrated receiving her US Green Card, which means she's now a permanent resident of her adopted country, but Iggy has conceded that not everyone will be happy about her new status.
She wrote on Twitter: "Seriously! I've been here 12 years! only just got approved!
been paying my fed & state taxes etc but can't vote or have a say how it's spent.
Some people are SO miserable.
Y'all would be happy for me to get deported back to a country I only know 4 ppl in though! I worked hard. (sic)"
Iggy claimed some critics are simply "mad" they can no longer jokingly threaten her with deportation, while she also likened herself to the characters from the 2004 comedy movie 'White Chicks'.
She said on the micro-blogging website: "I think some of y'all just mad you can't make jokes about deporting me anymore. [laughing emoji]
It's okay, I still look like white chicks... (sic)"
Iggy took to Instagram earlier this week to reveal the news that she has finally become a United States citizen along with two of her friends, who are also immigrants.
On her Instagram Story, the 'Black Widow' hitmaker said: "Guess what! Tell them the news because we're all immigrants here. Immigrant club! I just got accepted into America forever! I just got my stamp!"
Meanwhile, Iggy - who was previously engaged to NBA star Nick Young - recently ruled out dating another rapper.
She explained: "It's hard. I already know not to talk to any rappers. I know how we are. It just won't work and I know that. There's only enough room for one rapper per relationship and I'm taking that all up.
"It would be too ridiculous. I need balance in my life. I don't know how I would have any if they did the same thing as me. No thank you."
