The singer wreaked revenge on the actor 12 months after he infamously introduced her as Adele Dazeem during the event last year, and when Idina took to the stage to present Best Original Song, she had come prepared.

Speaking to the Los Angeles Dolby Theater audience she said: "Please welcome to the stage my very dear friend Glom Gazingo."

John then walked out on stage, hugging Idina before patting her on the face and embracing the joke.

"I deserve that, but you, my darling, my beautiful, my wickedly talented Idina Menzel."

She added: "You got it, not like it's going to follow me around for the rest of my life or anything."

The pair went on to present the Best Original Song award to John Leghend and Common for their hit 'Glory' from movie Selma, which was performed earlier in the night.

Neil Patrick Harris who hosted the event poked fun at John for his "face-touching" later in the night, and said he'd have to return in 12 months to apologise for his hands-on approach.

"[John] Travolta will be back again next year to apologise for all the face-touching."
