Ian Ziering thinks Jessica Alba's experience on 'Beverly Hills 90210' "doesn't make sense".

The 56-year-old actor - who portrayed Steve Sanders on the show - insisted he doesn't "doubt" the 'Sin City' star's recent claims she was banned from making eye contact with the cast when she had a guest role in the drama in 1998 but he doesn't think the directive would have come from any of his co-stars.
He told 'Access Hollywood': "I can't for the life of me ever imagine a situation where any of the actors would ever say that."
The 'Sharknado' star explained he thought the rule may have come from an assistant director or someone else outside the cast.
He added: "None of my cast mates ever requested anything like that.
"I'm not doubting that was her experience.
"It saddens me because it lessened the experience for her—certainly didn't slow her down in life—but it's hard to hear that there was any negativity on the set."
And Ian insisted he would have intervened if he'd been aware of the rule.
He said: "If I had known about that I would have shot that down immediately... I didn't even work with her that day but I would've went right over to her and said, 'How are you doing?'"
The actor's comments come after his former co-stars Tori Spelling, Jennie Garth and Jason Priestly all also expressed their surprise at Jessica's claims.
Like Ian, Tori also wondered if there had been a "memo that was, like, going around from the producers or the AD's and we didn't even know."
She added: "I'm not going to lie to you guys: I was a little horrified when I saw that clip that she said that she wasn't allowed to make eye contact and she had an awful experience because her baby wipes are my favorite... Like, I wipe my child's ass with her baby wipes every single day. I'm so upset right now."
Jennie admitted she has the "world's worst memory" and joked it could have been her that Jessica was referring to.
She said: "Tori, did you — I just need to know, did you tell her not to look me in the eye?
"Because I had all the scenes with her. Like, if anybody was, you know, didn't want to have their eyes looked into, it would've been me. But I don't remember, because I have the world's worst memory."
Meanwhile, Jason had no scenes with the actress and insisted he would have made her feel very welcome if he had.
He said: "I always went out of my way to make sure that our guests always felt incredibly welcomed and I would always go and talk to them and make sure they knew this was a place where we wanted them to succeed."
Jessica, 39, made her allegations against the show last week, when she said she would be “thrown off set” if she made eye contact with any of the show’s main cast.
She claimed: “I couldn’t even make eye contact with any of the cast members, which was really strange when you’re like trying to do a scene with them. It was like, ‘You’re not allowed to make eye contact with any one of the cast members or you’ll be thrown off the set.’ ”
