Hugh Jackman's stalker has been released from jail.
Obsessed fan Katherine Thurston pleaded guilty to burglary, stalking and harassment earlier this month and was declared free to go this afternoon (19.03.14) after spending almost a year behind bars.
The 46-year-old woman was given a plea deal which will see her do six months probation in her native California, the New York Daily News is reporting.
Katherine memorably accosted 'Les Miserables' hunk Hugh in Gotham Gym in Greenwich Village, New York City, last April, where she charged at him wielding an electric razor and implored him to marry her.
She told cops she had arrived in the Big Apple two months earlier with the sole intention of wooing Hugh, insisting, "I want to marry him. It's not against the law to have two wives."
The actor - who has been happily married to Deborra-Lee Furness since 1996 - was at the gym buffing up for his role as clawed superhero Wolverine in the 'X-Men' franchise at the time, and expressed concern about the safety of his family.
One month earlier, Katherine had turned up outside Hugh's daughter Ava's school to confront Deborra-Lee.
According to police, she informed her: "I'm going to marry your husband."
The superfan declined to comment as she left court today, and her attorney Liz Beal told the Daily News: "She's happy the case is over and she's looking forward to getting back with her family."
