Howard Donald nearly left his Take That bandmates off the guest list at his wedding.
Howard Donald nearly left his Take That bandmates, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen, off the guest list at his recent wedding to Katie Halil because he didn't want there to be "any sort of fuss".
The 'These Days' hitmaker tied the knot with illustrator, Katie Halil, at a secret ceremony earlier this month and was so desperate to keep it a secret that he initially left his pals, Gary Barlow and Mark Owen, off the invite list.
Gary shared: "We really had to fight to get an invite. I promise you that's true. We were very lucky to get there at all."
Whilst Mark added: "He didn't want us there originally because he hates any sort of fuss. But there was no way we were going to miss it."
Howard also revealed that he cut short his honeymoon in Berlin, Germany so the band could record a track for 'Kingsman: The Secret Service'.
He said: "We called it a mini-moon. We're just too busy here - it's a huge year for the band.
"It wasn't good that the day I got back it started to rain."
The 46-year-old singer held a two-day celebration - firstly, an intimate marriage ceremony and then a huge party at Aynhoe Park, a stately home in the Cotswolds, Oxfordshire.
Howard was also full of praise for his "great" wife but admitted that whilst the couple considered having a very public wedding, they settled on a private one in the end.
He told The Sun newspaper: "My wife is such a great girl. I'm really happy.
"We spoke about having a big magazine wedding but it's just not my style.
"We told hardly anyone about it in the end."
