Helen George doesn't have "time" for a romance.
The 'Strictly Come Dancing' star insists the break up of her three-year marriage to Oliver Boot, which was confirmed just before she began competing in the dance contest, has nothing to do with the show.
She said: "Yes, we've separated. No, it has nothing to do with 'Strictly'. It was amicable and we're not going to discuss it publicly."
When asked if she was seeing anyone at the moment, she replied: "I don't have time to see my friends. I don't even have time to go shopping - there's no milk in my fridge!"
The 31-year-old beauty also admits time was a factor in deciding whether or not to trade in her 'Call the Midwife' costume for sequinned ball gowns.
She explained: "I was thinking I'd never do that [Strictly]. It just looked like really hard work! I thought, 'Could I? ... No I couldn't ... Or could I?' Everybody gave a resounding 'You have to do this'."
Helen - who is paired with professional dancer Aljaz Skorjanec - admits they have a good bond but "really can't understand" how a romance on the show comes about.
She told the Daily Telegraph newspaper: "You don't know this person and then suddenly you're spending eight hours a day together in a room. We are so lucky we get on so well.
"So far, no, I really can't understand it. I'm an actress, I'm used to things being make-believe. There is a line, and it's all about the performance and the dance floor."
