Heidi Montag has claimed 'The Hills' producers begged her husband Spencer Pratt not to show up to their wedding in 2009.
The former 'The Hills' star, who previously revealed she was given scripts for the MTV series, married her long-term boyfriend in the mid-season finale in 2009 but said the show's creators tried to get Spencer to leave her at the alter.
Speaking on the couple's E! special 'After Shock: Heidi and Spencer', the 27-year-old beauty said that the wedding scenes took two hours to film, as the producers were trying to convince Spencer not to show up so he could seal his status as the show's villain.
He refused and the couple married in front of cast members and family, but Heidi regrets not having a more intimate ceremony after the televised wedding.
In the hour-long special, Spencer also said that the public didn't really get to know them on the show.
He said: "I don't think we've ever gotten to be the real Heidi and Spencer on TV."
He claimed that all of their arguments on the show were orchestrated, including one in which he kicked Heidi out of his car after she refused to move in with him.
He said: "We shot like 14 or 15 takes of that from different angles, and then she got back in my car, and we drove off."
Spencer claimed he is still regularly subjected to abuse by fans of the show, which ended in 2010, and is hesitant to start a family with Heidi as a result.
He said: "I wouldn't want to be Spencer Pratt's kid. I'd have a kid if there was no Google or YouTube."
