November has been and gone, along with some of our favourite celebrity couples. Batsheva and Ben Weinstein from My Unorthodox Life filed for divorce; Shawn and Camila announced their breakup, and Kanye is up to his old tricks. The festive season may be here, but there is no mistletoe in sight for Hollywood. Here is this month's celebrity gossip column.
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello break up
Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello dated for two years and announced their split on the 15th of November. The pair released several songs together, including I Know What You Did Last Summer and Senorita.
A source spoke to Entertainment Tonight about the demise of their relationship. The source said they spent lockdown in Miami together and enjoyed a well-deserved break from working. However, when normal life returned, and their careers veered in different directions – they struggled to spend any time together. Until finally, the two called it quits on their relationship.
The pair released identical statements on their social media channels to announce the break.
"Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever. We started our relationships as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."
Batsheva Haart and Ben Weinstein file for divorce
My Unorthodox Life first hit Netflix on the 14th of July 2021 and soon hit the number one spot. The hit series follows Julia Haart and her family – who were once members of an ultra-Orthodox Jewish community. The family love all things high-fashion and high-drama. The eldest child, Batsheva Haart, is married to her childhood sweetheart, Ben Weinstein. The couple struggled to navigate their relationship between their unorthodox background and modern-day lifestyle. However, it seems the two have finally decided to separate and file for divorce.
They released a joint statement on their Instagram stories. "We have so much love and respect for each other but have realized that it is time to take some space to ensure that each of us live the most joyous, fulfilling lives possible."
"There are no secret nor salacious events to blame. We are just two best friends who met at a very young age and have grown over the past nine years each in our own way."
My Unorthodox Life has been renewed for a second season. But the question is – will the Weinstein divorce make an appearance?
Kim K and Pete Davidson are dating!
After the messiest divorce in Calabasas history, Kim K has finally found a new man. Pete Davidson, a 28-year-old SNL comedian, is no stranger to dating A-list celebs. He has dated Ariana Grande, Phoebe Dynevor, Kate Beckinsale and now, Kim Kardashian.
It all started with Kim's debut on SNL and that skit. With Kim dressed as Jasmine and Pete as Aladdin, the two shared a kiss during the kit. The two were spotted holding hands on a roller coaster ride at Knott's Scary Farm in California a few weeks later. She then invited him to Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home for a family event.
A source said: "Pete has told her he doesn't want to see anyone else. She is telling some people they aren't super serious, but she isn't seeing anyone else... She's trying to not make a big deal about it but is super into him."
The Skims founder is apparently "giddy" around Pete and laughs the entire time she's with him.
But Kanye has other ideas …
Kanye has quickly become the ex of your nightmares. On Thanksgiving, Kanye posted a spoken word video on his Instagram. He admitted to his "misactions" and drinking problem that triggered his temper. He even said he came off his bipolar medication – "which left me susceptible to other episodes, which my wife and family and fans have had to endure."
The video showed a choir dressed in hoodies in a warehouse. Kanye said: "All I think about every day is how to get my family back together and how I heal the pain I've caused."
Kim is reportedly fuming with her ex-husband. His latest publicity stunt once again shared private details of their relationship with the whole world.
A source told The Sun: "Kim's friends and family think it's cruel and immature - and is saying this is a sign that Kanye isn't listening to anything Kim is saying.
"He's embarrassing her, yet again. He's trying to change the narrative and make people feel sorry for him. It won't work."
He also posted a screenshot of a fake TMZ article, headlined: "Kanye West says God Will Bring Him and Kim Back Together, Inspire Millions." And what's more, he had the nerve to tag Kim in the post. Only one phrase comes to mind: WTF?
Nonetheless, Kim and Kanye have filed for divorce, and she's moving on with Pete. Sorry Kanye, it's time to let go.
