Harry Styles has landed his first major film role opposite Tom Hardy.
The One Direction hunk is jetting across the pond to star in World War II blockbuster 'Dunkirk' - which is being directed by legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan who helmed 'The Dark Night' trilogy - opposite the Hollywood actor and Oscar winner Mark Rylance.
A source revealed: "Harry has gone straight in at the top. 'Dunkirk' will be massive.
"He was asked to audition for the part -- which will be substantial -- and impressed Christopher. This is now a great chance for him to show his acting skills and put himself in the frame for more huge movie roles.
One Direction are on a break from the music industry but have insisted they'll be back, but when they do return it's likely the 22-year-old star will be a familiar face in Hollywood movies too.
The source added to The Sun newspaper: "Music is still very much on his agenda and he would like to do both going forward."
'Dunkirk' will tell the story of the difficult evacuation of the Allied forces from the beaches and harbour of Dunkirk, France, in June 1940 which Sir Winston Churchill - the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom at the time - described as a "miracle of deliverance".
