Gwen Stefani thinks her new album has turned her divorce into something "beautiful".
The 46-year-old singer split from husband Gavin Rossdale - with whom she has sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 23 months - last August and channelled her heartbreak into writing songs for 'This Is What the Truth Feels Like'.
She said: "What's so crazy is that sometimes tragedy, if you really absorb it, you can turn it into something beautiful.
"And this whole album is about trying to take something that's awful, and just, I don't know, healing from it and then turning it into something beautiful."
Gwen has now found love with fellow 'The Voice' coach Blake Shelton and confirmed her latest single 'Make Me Like You' is about him.
Asked by talk show host Jimmy Kimmel if the song is about Blake, she said: "It is, actually. I will admit that that song is about that guy, yeah."
Gwen partnered with Target to make a live music video for the track, which aired during the Grammy Awards earlier this week, and she admitted the promo took a lot of planning.
She said: "I can't believe that happened. That was a trip.
"They'd been talking about it since Christmas and planning it. Every little detail counts. There's hundreds of people working there.
"I personally worked on it probably like six days, maybe, at the most, [but] like 7 in the morning 'til 3 in the morning."
