Gwen Stefani supported Blake Shelton at the E! People's Choice Awards from her car parked outside the venue.
The 'Hollaback Girl' hitmaker and her fiance enjoyed a "date night" to the annual event on Sunday (15.11.20) but coronavirus protocols meant she wasn't allowed inside the Barker Hangar to see Blake accept the Top Country Artist accolade at the ceremony.
Showing off her new engagement ring, Gwen said in a video shared to her Instagram Story: "Date night with Blake Shelton. So basically, I have to stay in the car because of COVID. But I'm here to support Blake in case he wins."
And the 51-year-old star was delighted when her and Blake's song 'Happy Anywhere' came on the radio while she was waiting.
She said: "This is happening right now. We are on the radio, shut up!"
Shortly afterwards, Gwen returned to her Instagram Stories to break the news that Blake had won his award.
She said: "OK we are back, we are back and Blake Shelton just won a People's Choice Award."
The former No Doubt star went on to share a clip of the 45-year-old singer's speech on her story, along with a series of emojis.
When he got up on stage to accept his award, the 'God's Country' gave a shout-out to Gwen.
He said: "Wow. This is crazy. This is absolutely insane. I'm so happy that we're able to have this award show in spite of everything...
"Me and my team should be thanking all the fans out there who voted for this thing.
"And I don't spend a lot of time on social media anymore, but when I do look at it, all I see is fans retweeting and voting for—lately, for the People's Choice Awards. Thank you so much.
"Thank you to my new fiancée, Gwen Stefani. That's S-t-e-f-a-n-I, if you need to Google it to figure out who she is. Thanks for the inspiration and I love you guys, thank you."
