While the pair have recently started dating after splitting for their respective spouses, Gwen, 46, admitted she had no idea who the 39-year-old country music superstar was.

Speaking to chat show host Ellen DeGeneres, she explained: "I didn't even know who [Blake] was.

"Before I was on 'The Voice' I never heard of him before. I'm an O.C. girl! Like, what would I know?"

While Gwen wouldn't be drawn on if her boyfriend is a good kisser, she was full of praise for his musical knowledge.

Gwen said: "He knows every single Eighties song. He literally is a musical jukebox. He knows everything about music, it's crazy."

Meanwhile, it was recently claimed that Blake has invited Gwen and her sons, Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and Apollo, 20 months, to spend Thanksgiving with him in Oklahoma.

And they are also considering spending part of the Christmas holidays together, although the No Doubt frontwoman might also spend part of it with her ex Gavin Rossdale, 50, in order to keep things "as normal as possible" for the children.

An insider previously explained: "It's very likely they will be together for some parts of it, but Gwen still wants to have the holidays as normal as possible because of her kids. So Gwen may do a more traditional holiday with Gavin when their kids open up the presents, but it's clear to her children they are not with each other in any romantic capacity."
