The 45-year-old star and the 49-year-old actor announced they were parting ways after 13 years of marriage and 20 years together earlier this month and the former couple have reportedly been "living separate lives" despite their attempts to "make it work for their kids".

A source told People magazine: "It's obvious that they are trying to keep things as normal as possible for their boys. On the outside, their family life seems pretty normal. It doesn't seem like their separation has affected their day-to-day life. For Gwen and Gavin, their boys always came first."

The No Doubt singer - who has sons Kingston, nine, Zuma, seven, and 17-month-old Apollo with Gavin - is set to return as a coach on 'The Voice' while the pair have been spending time at their Beverly Hills mansion together with their children.

Announcing their split last week, the couple - who tied the knot in 2002 - said: "While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenthood and are committed to jointly raising our three sons in a happy and healthy environment."
