Guy Ritchie is "repairing the damage" he feels his ex-wife Madonna has done to their son.
The 'Man from U.N.C.L.E.' star is reportedly keeping a "watchful eye" over his 15-year-old son Rocco as they all prepare for the custody hearing next month.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Guy wants to wait until Rocco's future is decided before making any plans for his schooling. He feels he is repairing the damage done to Rocco through being on tour with his mother last year and is in fact keeping a watchful eye over his son.
"Rocco and Lourdes have always been close and he finds it hard to live with his mother without her there."
Meanwhile, the 57-year-old singer previously took to Instagram to defend her parenting skills.
Captioning a photo of her children - including David, 10, and Mercy, nine - she wrote: "Its possible to be an entertainer and a good mother!!! Too bad we don't live in a society where many encourage strong independent single working moms! The next great Frontier! #revolutionoflove continues #rebelheart4ever (sic)."
And the 'Living for Love' hitmaker is planning to "fight to the end" for custody.
A source said at the time: "She is going to fight, fight, fight, and she is going to fight to the end. She is not happy. She is an excellent mother, and people can say whatever they want - but her children mean the world to her."
