Greg Rutherford wants to continue his 'Strictly Come Dancing' training.
The 30-year-old Olympian and his professional partner Natalie Lowe were voted off the competition at the weekend and though it was unusual for the long jumper to wake up without having to go to practice, he wasn't relishing having the day off.
He tweeted: "Morning. It's the first time in three months I don't have dance training to look forward to. @RealNatalieLowe can you just teach me anyway? (sic)"
Greg and Natalie will miss working together as they struck up a strong friendship during rehearsals.
After the result was revealed last night (20.11.16), Greg tweeted: "It's been a blast. @RealNatalieLowe is one of the greatest humans I've ever met. She made my strictly experience so special. Thanks Nat xx (sic)"
And Natalie posted: "My mate for life sadly our time has come to an end @GregJRutherford I'm in awe, u poured ur heart & soul into every petformance thank u #scd (sic)"
Greg's fellow 'Strictly' contestants are also sad to see him go.
Former 'Hollyoaks' star Danny Mac posted: "Gutted to see @GregJRutherford go. A total gent & a great friend. He absolutely smashed this show. It won't be the same without you mate.(sic)"
Danny's professional partner, Oti Mabuse, tweeted: "My heart breaks @GregJRutherford you were an amazing person and such a hard worker congratulations for making it so far your amazing (sic)"
Greg and Natalie faced Claudia Fragipane and AJ Pritchard in the dance-off and the gymnast found it "so emotional" having to compete against her friend.
She tweeted: "That was so emotional @GregJRutherford I'm going to really miss my Olympic buddy. You are such an inspiration to me- Love You (sic)"
Ore Oduba shared a picture of himself, Greg and Ed Balls and posted: "So proud of my man in the middle. Inspirational athlete. Great, great friend. Will miss you so much @GregJRutherford (sic)"
