Gisele Bundchen credits Boyz II Men with helping her learn English.
The 38-year-old Brazilian model appeared with the R&B group during a 'Carpool Karaoke' episode which was released exclusively on Apple Music on Friday (25.01.19), and told the 'End of the Road' hitmakers that it was thanks to their music that she managed to learn English when she moved to New York at just 16 years old.
In a special teaser clip for the episode, she said: "So I moved to New York City when I was 16 years old. I didn't speak a word of English. But my sister, she was like 'Here, take my cassette.' The cassette tape she made for me, one side was Boyz II Men, the other side was Mariah [Carey].
"I would literally be with this Walkman all day. I was like, 'I'm gonna learn English and that's it!' I have to say, you guys were my teachers so thank you."
Meanwhile, Gisele recently praised meditation for helping her to overcome her "panic attacks", which she has been suffering with since she was in her early 20s.
She said: "I started meditating in my early 20s, after having severe panic attacks ... that's one of the very important tools that helped me ... it actually gave me a new life. When you start being loving with yourself, being loving with others, filling your mind with affirmations and loving thoughts, you create more of that in your life, and that becomes more of your reality."
Gisele has even tried to get her husband and NFL star Tom Brady - with whom she has son Benjamin, nine, and daughter Vivian, six - involved, but says he's not as "diligent" with the practice as she is.
She added: "He has meditated, but I don't think he's as diligent as I am with meditation. For me, it came from something that has helped me heal from something that was so challenging in my life. Maybe because he hasn't had the same need as me, maybe for him, it hasn't become something so consistent."
