Geri Horner sent Perrie Edwards a handwritten note to congratulate her on Little Mix's BRIT Awards win.
The 'Black Magic' hitmakers made history as the first girl band to ever be awarded Best British Group at the ceremony on Tuesday (11.05.21) and during their acceptance speech, they dedicated the win to the other female groups who had gone before them, including Geri's band Spice Girls.
And in response, the 'Lift Me Up' singer sent a bouquet of flowers to acknowledge the shout-out.
They were accompanied by a note which read: "Dear Perrie, Congratulations. Thank you for the shout out. Love, Geri xxx [Spice Girls].(sic)"
Geri also praised the band on Instagram.
She wrote: "Girl Power at the @brits last night. Thanks and congratulations @littlemix (sic)"
Little Mix's win came just hours after Perrie had announced she and partner Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were expecting their first child together, and the blonde beauty admitted her house now "looks like a florist" because she's been inundated with flowers to congratulate her on her double celebration.
She shared footage of many of the flower arrangements on her Instagram Story, as well as the accompanying notes.
As well as cards from Geri, her management company and other organisations, there was also one from Alex's parents, Wendie and Mark.
It read: "Wonderful news! So delighted, proud, excited for this next stage in all our lives. With all our love Wendie and Mark (sic)"
In their acceptance speech, the 'Sweet Melody' group - Perrie, Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock - thanked former member Jesy Nelson, their fans, and "amazing" team, before paying tribute to other bands.
They said: “The fact that a girl band has never won this award really does speak volumes. So this award isn’t just for us, it’s for Spice Girls, Sugababes, All Saints, Girls Aloud, all of the incredible, incredible female bands … this one’s for you. So thank you BRITs, and we hope you have an amazing night.”
