Geri Horner's pregnancy will not signal the end of the Spice Girls' comeback.
The 44-year-old star - who has 10-year-old daughter Bluebell - is expecting her second child, her first with husband Christian Horner, 42, but the pair's news is not thought to spell the end for her planned comeback alongside Emma Bunton and Mel B.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Geri and Christian are obviously delighted to be expecting.
"But this does not signal the end of the Spice Girls comeback. Far from it.
"She still intends to rehearse and potentially record new material, even when she's heavily pregnant."
The trio are planning to reunite as the Spice Girls, but existing members Victoria Beckham and Mel C have rejected the chance to take part.
Geri confirmed her baby news on her Instagram account by thanking "Mother Nature".
She wrote: "God bless Mother Nature #mamaspice. (sic)"
The star later posted a picture of herself and fellow Spice Girl Emma at the Attitude Awards last night (10.10.16) and admitted it "felt so good" to share her baby news.
She wrote: "Amazing night , @emmaleebunton - she presented me my @attitude award . Felt so good to share the joy . #mamaspice (sic)"
In an official statement, her reps said: "Geri and Christian are absolutely delighted to announce they are expecting their first child together.
"The couple is overjoyed with the good news and cannot wait to welcome the newest addition to their family.
"Geri married Red Bull Formula 1 Team Principal Christian Horner at a ceremony held in a parish church at Bedfordshire in May last year, where Geri's daughter Bluebell was a bridesmaid."
